Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest stars and one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. While he is celebrating his 60th birthday today and fans are going crazy on his special day, did you know there was a time when SRK actually didn’t want to enter films? Shocked? Well, you read it right. SRK’s Circus co-star and first on-screen heroine, Renuka Shahane, spoke about how he wasn’t interested in films at all. During a conversation with The Indian Express, Renuka shared, “He was already a TV star after Fauji. I think the kind of craze I saw for him after Fauji was while we were shooting for Circus. We were surprised. He didn’t even want to go into the film industry at that time. He was very happy doing television.” “People would also say that he should be a film star, but Shah Rukh Khan told them that theatre and television were his space. It was only later that he kind of went into the industry — maybe because his mom was very keen that her son should become a film star. And oh my God, what a film star he has become,” Renuka added. The actress, in the same conversation, revealed how she always knew that he would make it big in the business and shared, “I always knew if he does make it, he would make it big, because he has the right attitude, the greatest talent, and he is extremely witty off-screen as well. He has that energy and intensity for his work which hasn’t reduced till date. He really is the kind of superstar that we all cherish. I am very proud of him.” Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th Birthday Plans SRK is all set to celebrate with his fans again. According to a report in India Today, a dedicated fan event is taking place at Balgandharva Rangmandir in Bandra at 4 p.m. This gathering is strictly for those holding special passes distributed through select fan clubs — no general entry, no media presence. Only genuine SRK lovers are filling up the venue. The superstar is also planning to wave at his sea of fans from an under-renovation Mannat. King Title Reveal On the occasion of SRK’s birthday, director Siddharth Anand unveiled the title reveal video of their much-awaited film KING, showcasing SRK’s look from the film that marks their second collaboration after Pathaan. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, KING is set to release in 2026 and promises to be a new SRK experience, with Shah Rukh Khan presented like never before — sure to thrill fans across the globe.
