Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra is currently recuperating at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, reported Mid-Day. Reports suggest that the 89-year-old star was admitted to the hospital recently for a routine health check-up, just a week after his last visit for the same purpose. Despite initial reports suggesting he was on a ventilator and critical, sources close to him confirmed to the outlet that he is recovering well and there is nothing to worry about. The family's statement is awaited. Earlier, on October 31, a source close to the actor told Hindustan Times, Yes, Dharmendra is currently at Breach Candy Hospital, but there is no cause for concern. The actor is in good health and visits the hospital often for routine medical tests, which is the reason for his current stay. It seems that someone spotted him there, which has led to a frenzy among his fans, but there is nothing to be worried about as he is absolutely fine. The source further explained that the actor often goes to the hospital for routine medical tests. Dharmendra undergoes multiple routine tests that usually take around two to three days to complete, they said. Given that he is 89, daily travel can be tiring at this age. Hence, he himself chose to stay at the hospital and finish all the tests at once instead of commuting back and forth each day. Earlier this month, after Dharmendra's hospital visit, his wife and actor-politician Hema Malini was seen at the airport. When photographers asked her about his health, she simply gestured okay and assured everyone that he was fine. She also folded her hands in gratitude. Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He will soon star in Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis with Agastya Nanda. The war drama is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The actor will turn 90 this December.
