CMR University in Bengaluru announced the launch of DGCA-certified drone pilot training, expanding career avenues for engineering aspirants.

The announcement was made on September 15 during the inauguration of its new B.Tech and B.Arch programmes for 2025–26 at its Lakeside campus, Bagalur, to coincide with Engineer’s Day celebrations. The event drew over 750 participants, including students and faculty.

In his address, Dr. N. Kannan, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, underlined the university’s focus on innovation. Vice-Chancellor Dr. H. B. Raghavendra highlighted the importance of holistic student development.

Guests of Honor Dr. A. T. Kishore and Mr. George Jacob motivated students with insights into emerging fields such as drone technology and semiconductors.

The programme concluded with a student project exhibition, showcasing creativity and technical excellence.
