Dev Shah produced a gritty display to secure the bronze medal in the Under 50 Men’s Singles Skill (5.0) category at the Pickleball World Championships. Playing on Court N29 in Match 59, Shah defeated Daniel Phillips in a thrilling three-game contest, winning 11–9, 0–11, 11–7. The opening game saw Shah dictate the tempo, taking it 11–9 after a tight exchange of points. However, Phillips stormed back in the second game, blanking Shah 11–0 to level the match. With the bronze on the line, Shah showed composure under pressure in the decider and closed out the final game 11–7 to seal the match and claim the podium finish. In the pre-match setup, Shah elected to serve, while Phillips chose the right court. The strategic start paid off for Shah, who maintained control in key rallies to emerge victorious.
