Premier League side Tottenham full-back Destiny Udogie was threatened at gun point by a sports agent in a late-night horror last month in North London. The London-based club have backed the Italian and have extended their support to him and his family . “We have been providing support for Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so,” the English top-flight club said in a statement. “Given this is a legal matter, we cannot comment any further,” the lilywhites added. The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation after the incident involving the 22-year-old Italy defender in September, Britain’s PA news agency reported. The agent, a 31-year-old man, was questioned on charges of extortion and driving without a license, as well as for a crime related to the possession of firearms. He was released after paying bail. Udogie started the 4-0 win over FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday.
