Deputy Senate President celebrates First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu at 65

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has celebrated the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her 65th birthday anniversary.

Sen. Barau, in a goodwill message to the First Lady, hailed her contribution to nation-building through her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

“I join all Nigerians and other well-wishers worldwide in congratulating Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her 65th birthday celebration today.

“A patriotic Nigerian par excellence, Her Excellency’s contribution to the entrenchment of democracy in the country has been immense, sterling and novel.

“With her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Her Excellency, the mother of the nation, has been making a significant contribution to tackling the challenges facing our country since 2023.

“Her Excellency’s contributions to nation-building did not begin recently. As First Lady of Lagos State (1999 – 2007), she positively impacted the lives of millions of women, children, and youths in the state through the New Era Foundation.

“At the Senate, between 2011 and 2023, when she represented Lagos Central, she left no stone unturned in addressing the country’s challenges through the various committees she chaired and served on.

“I pray to God to grant Her Excellency long life, sound health and wisdom in her endeavours and support to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to successfully deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda for the peace and progress of our dear country.”

A statement issued by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy Senate President on Media and Publicity, quoted him as saying: “Once again, Happy Birthday, Your Excellency, the Mother of the Nation.”
