Deputies: Teenage boy lured from apartment and stabbed Sunday

EVERETT — A teenage boy sustained life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed by an acquaintance Sunday in Lynnwood. Around 3:13 p.m. Sunday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies responded alongside the Lynnwood Police Department to reports of a stabbing in the 20900 block of 44th Avenue West, according to a sheriff’s office social media post. While investigating, deputies discovered a 17-year-old boy had been lured from his apartment and distracted before a known acquaintance allegedly stabbed him. The suspect fled after the assault into a wooded area and discarded the knife, the post said. Deputies were able to locate the suspect at a nearby business plaza, where they took the primary suspect, an 18-year-old male, and a second suspect, a 19-year-old female, into custody. Investigators confirmed all involved parties know each other. First responders transported the victim to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries. Officers booked the male suspect into Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, and the female suspect on suspicion of first-degree assault domestic violence.
