Delta Air Lines marked 100 days to go until the kickoff of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy by unveiling a new livery celebrating Team USA’s participation in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games The livery on a custom Airbus A350 was designed by Alex Brannon, Art Director at Delta, and created by Delta’s in-house creative agency, Window Seat. The timeline from ideation to unveiling, took over a year. The process started in September 2024. Five designers created a number of options before a design was chosen. That design underwent over 20 revisions before it was finalized. Delta Team USA Milan-Cortina Plane livery. It has 26 stripes representing the year 2026. Those stripes were designed with inspiration from Milan’s rolling landscape, the company said in a press release. More than 70 paint colors were used on the livery’s gradient and lines. The blue gradient has historical Olympics linkage. It was used in the Beijing 2020 Team USA livery. “Our Team USA livery for Milano Cortina represents the journey of excellence, resilience and the drive to Keep Climbing that defines both Team USA and Delta,” said Delta’s Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman. “As we prepare to carry athletes, families and fans to Milan, this livery is a visual promise of the world-class experience they can expect. It reflects Delta’s belief that meaningful journeys start with intention, and this aircraft is a symbol of that purpose in motion — connecting Team USA to their dreams and Delta to its mission.” The plane is one of the first examples with Delta’s new premium cabin design. It features new lighting schemes that were designed to create a calming environment, fresh color palettes and patterns, and redesigned lavatories with more stylish elements.
