New Delhi: Delhi will unveil its official logo on November 1, Delhi Day (Foundation Day). Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that this first-ever logo for the Delhi Government will serve as a symbol of the capital’s unique identity. She added that the logo will represent Delhi’s modern, transparent, and citizen-friendly governance, while also reflecting the harmony between the city’s culture and development. A special committee, formed by the Chief Minister, was tasked with selecting the official logo. A meeting of this committee was held today under her chairmanship. Present were PWD and Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, Environment and Industry Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Chief Secretary Rajiv Verma, members of the expert committee, and other senior officials. The meeting discussed the finalised logos, which represent Delhi’s unique identity, glorious history, culture, development, and the aspirations of its people. Logos are Finalised After extensive deliberation, the selected logos have been finalised, with the official logo to be confirmed in a forthcoming meeting. The logo will be released on November 1, after which it will become the permanent identity of the nation’s capital. Chief Minister Gupta noted that Delhi has never had an official logo, unlike most states in the country. “Our government began work on the logo selection as soon as we came to power,” she said. An expert committee, chaired by the Secretary of the General Administration Department, evaluated all submissions and shortlisted the final designs. She emphasised the government’s enthusiasm for the logo. “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to select a logo that will become Delhi’s new symbol,” she said. What Does It Mean? The Chief Minister stated that the logo will highlight Delhi’s modernity, transparency, and citizen-focused governance. The initiative aims to position Delhi as a strong brand, reflecting democratic values, technological advancement, and public participation. She added that the logo will also convey the city’s vibrancy, unity, and spirit of progress.
