With winter rolling in, many shoppers are getting concerned about the impact of damp and mould in their homes. However, at Debenhams, the Which? Great Value Winner for January 2025 Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier with Built-in Humidistat is currently discounted - and it could be ideal for shoppers looking to tackle damp and condensation. The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier , which is now £119.99 down from £159.99, costs 5p per hour to run according to Debenhams, with a 1.8 litre tank and 12 litres of moisture removal per day. The dehumidifier was ‘designed to be energy efficient, helping you save money on your bills’, according to the brand. With an automatic humidity sensor and digital LED display, buyers can set their desired humidity level and trust in the unit to switch off and conserve energy. Alternatively, there’s a 24-hour timer that lets buyers schedule the dehumidifier to switch on or off during day and night. The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier also comes with an optional drainage hose for longer-term use. Debenhams says 99% of reviews recommended the product, too. Alternatively, shoppers with little ones might appreciate Dunelm’s 12L Electric Dehumidifier , priced at £120, which has a child-safety lock. With a similar 12 litre capacity, two fan modes and timer, it’s been rated an average of 4.7 out of a possible five over its 123 reviews. Buyers hunting for a deal could also look at Amazon’s HUMILABS 20L Dehumidifiers for Home , currently priced at £118.99, down from £139.99, saving shoppers a handy 15%. With a larger capacity of 20 litres per day with a 4 litre tank, it’s also multi-functional with the ability to purify air and filter out dust and allergens, as well as dehumidify. Shoppers at Debenhams were impressed with how well the Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier with Built-in Humidistat removes dampness and the amount they saved on bills. One shopper said: “Great product. I was a bit sceptical but had to give it a go, as I was struggling with mould in my home. The difference was noticed very quickly. So effective, highly recommended.” Another shared: “I am very pleased with my purchase of this dehumidifier, it does exactly what I require of it.” Someone else commented: “Excellent… If you air dry clothes inside this is a no brainer. Very efficient and clothes dry in half the usual time without the risk of condensation or dampness. Our tumble dryers are redundant with the obvious cost saving on top.” Not all shoppers felt the same, however, and one pointed out that dehumidifiers emit a humming sound that some may find annoying. One buyer noted: “Does the job. The unit is not too big but it does make a humming sound which may annoy some people, but it’s a means to an end as the walls are feeling drier.” Another found it didn't work as well for them, as they explained: "It’s not a bad dehumidifier, it does the job just not as fast as my other one. I have one upstairs and one down."
