The death toll from a tanker truck explosion on a major highway in Mexico City last week has risen to 15.
Mexico City health officials confirmed the deaths of a 40-year-old man and a 15th unidentified person from their injuries.
Thirty-nine people remain hospitalised following the incident.
Investigators determined the truck’s tank ruptured after colliding with something and are examining whether the driver was speeding or adequately trained.
The resulting fire last Wednesday engulfed more than two dozen vehicles and left numerous victims with severe burns.
