Alan was born in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire. He served in the Fire Brigade for over 20 years and later started his own business as a painter and decorator. Alan leaves a lovely wife of 49 years, two stepdaughters and one daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate Alan’s life will be held at Waltham Methodist Church on Monday 6th October at 11:00am, followed by committal at Waltham Cemetery at 12:00 midday.
