Kim Yoo Jung & Kim Young Dae's Dear X OTT release When and where can I watch Dear X? Dear X releases on November 6, 2025, and will stream on Viki in India. The TVING drama will premiere with four episodes back-to-back, while the rest of the episodic schedule is yet to be revealed. Dear X marks Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae's first on-screen collaboration in a K-drama and also stars Kim Do Hoon (Moving), Lee Yul Eum (Nevertheless), Kim Yi Kyung (Sweet Home), Bae Soo Bin (The King’s Affection), Kim Yoo Mi (See You in My 19th Life) and Kim Ji Young (Link: Eat, Love, Kill). Notably, Hwang In Youp of True Beauty fame and Kim Ji Hoon of Love to Hate You fame make pivotal cameos. What is the story of Dear X? Dear X is a romantic thriller melodrama based on Vanziun's popular webtoon of the same name. Baek Ahjin (Kim Yoo Jung) is a famous actress who climbs to the top of the ladder by stepping over her childhood wounds, manipulating people — especially those closest to her — and hiding behind her cruel but gorgeous mask. Ahjin's once perfectly orchestrated life turns chaotic with a steep downfall. Nevertheless, she's shielded by her childhood friend Yoon Junseo (Kim Young Dae), who is both Ahjin's sole sanctuary and fatal Achilles' heel. Junseo has stayed by Ahjin's side his entire life, fighting through hell and back just for her. Believing that salvation is love, Junseo is willing to destroy everything to protect his love. Kim Jaeoh (Kim Do Hoon) is Ahjin's blind supporter, who willingly becomes her shadow. Yet, he stays by her side in a contrasting way from Junseo. Jaeoh survived a traumatic childhood — being abused by his cult-obsessed father — and finds a reason to live thanks to a single word from Ahjin, who mirrors his pain. Rena (Lee Yul Eum) is a popular, stunning idol-turned actress who finds a formidable rival in Ahjin and ends up falling for Junseo, finding herself stuck in an endless, unrequited love. As for the cameos, Hwang In Youp portrays Heo Inkang, a top idol-turned-actor who achieves tremendous success but hides behind his relentless tenacity and deep sense of insecurity. After facing a sudden burnout, Inkang wants to give up on stardom, but he begins to change after meeting Ahjin. On the other hand, Kim Ji Hoon plays Choi Jungho, a former professional baseball player who now runs a cafe. Jungho becomes the first “true adult” in Ahjin's life, living with kindness and integrity. Their connection first transpires when Ahjin starts working at Jungho's cafe after her high school graduation. Dear X is directed by Lee Eung Bok of Goblin fame and Park So Hyun of Sweet Home fame.
