Attention all CNY high school seniors! Syracuse.com |The Post-Standard is seeking applicants for the Best & Brightest Awards, presented by Upstate Honda Dealers.
You’ve worked hard throughout your high school years, and you deserve to be recognized for your achievements.
Do you excel in academics, sports, theater or art? Are you a community or environmental activist? Have you done something to make Central New York a better place? Have you started a business or supported a nonprofit? We want to hear from you.
Best & Brightest recognizes the accomplishments of area high school seniors. While you may be off to college or work soon, you left your mark on our community and Central New York is undoubtedly better because of you!
Last year’s winners: Meet the 23 winners of Syracuse.com’s 2024 Best and Brightest Awards
Students nominate themselves with an application, short personal narrative, letters of recommendation and details about their academic successes, extracurricular activity and service to their school and community.
Eligible students include seniors with at least a B or 3.0 grade point average attending school in Section III (Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, and Otsego counties).
“Every year, my fellow judges and I are consistently blown away by the intelligence, talent, and passion of our area’s high school students,” said Lindsay Marlenga, senior marketing director at Advance Media NY. “These aren’t just great students academically, they are also courageous leaders, dedicated humanitarians, and compassionate change-makers who are positively impacting their schools and communities every day.”
Applications will only be accepted through Oct. 14. Winners will be announced during an award ceremony in Syracuse and featured in The Post-Standard and on syracuse.com.
