The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) is set to conduct a series of media briefings starting on Thursday, September 18, 2025, marking the beginning of the countdown to the 25th edition of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), scheduled for October 24–26, 2025.
DDA outlined that these briefings will include representatives from festival sponsors, organizers of accompanying events, performers participating in WCMF, DDA officials, and other important contributors. Each session aims to provide updates on the event’s progress, highlight collaborative partnerships, and promote fringe activities that are intended to build anticipation for the festival.

Celebrating its 25th year, the World Creole Music Festival is regarded as Dominica’s premier cultural event, attracting a substantial number of tourists, boosting the local economy, and enhancing the island’s international profile.
The festival features a diverse lineup of performers from the local region and abroad, serving as a platform that promotes Creole music and heritage while reinforcing Dominica’s reputation as a prominent events destination within the Caribbean.
The DDA said it “encourages members of the public and diaspora to tune in live via the Dominica Festivals Facebook page or through coverage by partner media houses to stay informed and connected as momentum builds toward the festival weekend.”
