Daymond John Reveals His Most Lucrative 'Shark Tank' Deal

Key Points Bombas socks has become Daymond John’s most lucrative Shark Tank investment, despite his initial doubts. John praised Bombas’ mission to donate socks to the homeless for every pair sold. He now prioritizes investments with social causes and health-focused, longevity-related products. Daymond John has been on Shark Tank for over a decade and has made deals with tons of promising young companies — but through it all one, surprising investment has definitely been his most lucrative. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (Oct. 28), John looked back on his career on as a Shark and shared that socks and undergarment company Bombas has made him the most money. But at the time he made the investment, John wasn’t sure they’d succeed. “The biggest money maker is the number one product in all 54 Shark Tanks around the world. I have the number one product. It’s called Bombas Socks,” John revealed. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 When host Jimmy Kimmel noted that he was surprised the company was so lucrative given how many companies manufacture socks, John agreed. “You know, like any investment, you believe in the founders and they were such great people that I didn’t think the socks were going to do well and I invested in [the founders],” John said. He went on to share that he was a fan of the founders’ mission, which included donating a pair of socks to the homeless community for every pair that’s sold at retail. While John’s background is in fashion, he admittedly prefers not to invest in a garment brand — but says he can get behind a good social cause. As for what he looks for in companies pitching on Shark Tank now, John says he appreciates charitable ideas and businesses focusing on health. “I am purely into biohacking now. Anything longevity. So it has to do something with, of course a social cause, or something to do with health,” he shared. “Anything that helps us because we’ve been poisoned for so many years by a lot of people and we can take our own health back.” Hear all that Daymond John had to say below.
