Davina McCall has revealed that she has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer after discovering a lump. The TV favourite has since undergone surgery following the early diagnosis. The TV presenter announced that the procedure had been successful as the disease had been caught in the "very, very early" stages. In a video posted on Instagram , the 58-year-old said she had decided to talk about her experience as she "thinks it might help someone." The Masked Singer judge then went on to tell her fans that she had discovered the lump in her breast after being encouraged by a poster in the toilets at the Lorraine studio to check for signs, reports the Mirror. She said: "I just wanted to tell you I have had breast cancer, I found a lump a few weeks ago and it came and went. "One morning I saw it in the mirror and I thought, 'I'm going to get that looked at.' So I had a biopsy and found out it was indeed breast cancer." Davina added: "I had it taken out in a lumpectomy nearly three weeks ago and the margins, they take out a little bit extra, they check the margins and the margins are clear. "It was very, very small so I got it very, very early which is incredibly lucky. But I am so relieved to have had it removed and to know that it hasn't spread. "My lymph nodes were clear, I didn't have any removed and all I'm going to do now is have five days of radiotherapy in January as an insurance policy. Then I am on my journey to stop it from ever coming back." Davina then went on to thank her "brilliant" kids, as well as everyone at the Royal Marsden hospital who had treated her. She continued: "An extra special thanks to Michael - it's been a lot. I was very angry when I found out but I let go of that and I feel in a much more positive place now. "I think my message is - get checked if you're worried, check yourself regularly. If you are due a mammogram then get it done and I have dense breasts and I had a mammogram in August. "I was postponing the ultrasound, I just couldn't find time to do it - don't do that. Get the ultrasound and thanks for watching. I'm sending all a massive hug." Davina went on to caption the video, writing: "The message here is know your boobs. Notice any changes. Don’t procrastinate. Get your free checkups. And never ignore a niggle. Sending out huge love." Many social media users have since flooded the comments section of the video with love and support for the TV presenter. One person wrote: "Sending you so much love hun. It must have been really scary. Many well wishes. You have been through so much. Thank you for sharing and for all you do. Sorry you’ve had to go through this." While another person added: "The most important, beautiful message to share. Your heart is so pure. Sending you all my love, strength, and tons of positive energy." This isn't the first health scare that Davina has had in recent years, as she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in November 2024. Recalling the time she said she feared the worst and had created an end-of-life list. Thankfully, she was given the all-clear in April 2025 after an MRI scan confirmed that the tumour had successfully been removed.
