    Loose Women returned on Monday and featured Davina McCall discussing her recent ventures whilst candidly addressing her wellbeing. The 57 year old television host spoke with Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha in a pre-filmed interview to publicise her latest book, Birthing, which explores childbirth, pregnancy and the postnatal period. Following her discussion about delivering her children, Davina – who revealed her engagement over the weekend – provided an update on her condition , almost twelve months since having surgery to extract a non-cancerous brain growth. The procedure took place in November 2024 after a colloid cyst was identified during a routine medical examination, which Davina had received as part of her menopause-related work. Davina confessed that whilst she doesn’t fret extensively about developing another growth, she continues to find it challenging to discuss her ordeal without becoming tearful, though she’s resolved to overcome this, reports the Express . “I have got this thing where I can’t stop crying. So, I cry a lot when I talk about it. But I’m going to try, I think,” Davina said as she held back tears. She added: “I think, it’s about a trauma. It was traumatic, the experience. I feel amazing now! I really do. I am so happy, I can’t believe I am here, with you, everything is a joy. Getting up in the morning, having a coffee. I’m still in the joys of it.” The television personality expressed her desire to progress beyond the incident and better control her emotions going forward. “I want to put it behind me. I feel great,” she told Nadia and Jane. “I want to stop crying! I want to stop.” Davina has discussed her brain tumour operation on multiple occasions and has previously commended her partner, hairstylist Michael Douglas, for his unwavering support during the ordeal. The pair have been together for more than seven years, having allegedly first crossed paths in the 2000s when Davina presented Big Brother, with Michael occasionally styling her hair. Davina, who was wed to Matthew Robertson for 17 years, recently revealed that she and Michael are now engaged, after he secretly proposed during the summer months. Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
