David Beckham is expanding his partnership with Bowers & Wilkins this week, this time helping design a special edition of the company’s flagship Px8 S2 headphones, which officially went on sale Wednesday morning.
The limited-edition model — available in a custom finish chosen by Beckham — carries over the specs of the Px8 S2, including 40mm carbon drivers, adaptive noise cancellation powered by eight microphones and 30 hours of battery life. Priced at $799, the over-ear design combines die-cast aluminum with soft Nappa leather.
Beckham has worked with the British audio brand since 2024 as an ambassador, often appearing in campaigns centered around his relationship with music. Last year, he helped launch their Pi8 in-ear wireless earbuds. However, this newest release marks the first time the soccer legend has collaborated on product design.
For Bowers & Wilkins, best known for its high-end loudspeakers, the move builds on its growing headphone business, which has seen steady gains as the company competes in a saturated market of heavyhitters such as Apple, Sony and Bose. The Px8 debuted in 2022, with the S2 upgrade arriving earlier this year.
Celebrity-driven hardware launches have become increasingly common as companies look forways to stand out in a crowded audio market. Beats is particularly known for teaming up with bold-faced names, boasting partnerships with Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani and dozens others over the years. Most recently, the Dr. Dre-owned brand partnered with Jennie on a special-edition version of their Beats Solo 4 headphones, since sold out.
