Daughter's heartbreaking tribute to dad after fatal stabbing at Birmingham home

The daughter of a Birmingham dad who suffered fatal stab injuries in his own home has paid tribute to his 'beautiful ways'. Emergency crews rushed to the aid of Barry Davison, 48, who was found hurt on Uplands Road, Handsworth, at around 10pm, on Saturday, October 11. Barry sadly died at the scene a short time later. A 43-year-old man has since been charged with his murder. Barry's daughter Abbie has also paid tribute to her dad who she describes as "kind and caring who was loved for his humour, his beautiful ways and just being the person he was". "This incident happened in an environment he should’ve been safe - his home," Abbie, 24, told BirminghamLive. "My dad was kind, caring and as many would say 'the type of person that would give you his last'. "He was loved by so many. His humour, his beautiful ways and just being the person he was, will be forever missed. "To give my dad the send off he deserves, I have made a GoFundMe page for any help and support. "As a family, we are so grateful and appreciative for anybody taking the time to read, donate or share." A spokesman for West Midlands Police has previously said: “A man has been charged with the murder of Barry Davison. “Stewart McInnes, 43, will be appearing before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday) charged with murder. “We were called by ambulance colleagues to Uplands Road, Handsworth, shortly before 10pm on Saturday (11 October). “Barry, aged 48, was found with stab injuries, and he was sadly confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.” To donate to the fund, please click here .
