Dani Dyer reveals why father Danny would 'never' go on I'm A Celebrity

Dani Dyer has revealed why her actor father Danny Dyer would “never” go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Danny shot to fame playing Mick Carter on EastEnders and has gone on to nab roles in shows like the hit Disney Plus drama Rivals and Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff.

His daughter Dani, who won Love Island in 2018, admitted the star has no plans to follow in her reality show footsteps.

The 29-year-old admitted Danny couldn’t fathom going into the I’m A Celebrity jungle because he would be so “bored”.

“I would like to see him in the I’m A Celeb jungle but he says he never would go in the jungle,” she told MailOnline.

“He was like, ‘Dan, I’d be bored.’ He’d be snoring everyone to death.”

The mother-of-three recently revealed she will appear on Strictly Come Dancing this year alongside stars like Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison and The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner.

Dani joked that confused fans might think her dad was going on the show due to their similar names.

“A lot of people when they said Dani Dyer’s doing it; because it was on the radio they probably thought it was the other Danny Dyer,” she quipped.

Earlier this year, Dani married West Ham player Jarred Bowen, 28, in a lavish ceremony at the five-star Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire.

Danny looked every inch the proud dad at the nuptials in June, breaking down in tears when he first saw Dani in her wedding dress at her bridal suite.

The actor also comforted Jarred, who wiped away tears watching Dani reach the altar, before sitting in the front row and crying himself as the couple exchanged their vows.

In an Instagram video shared by Dani, Danny gave an animated speech to the guests – something he had reportedly promised Dani he wouldn’t make too “outrageous”.

An insider told The Sun: “Danny and Jo [his wife Joanne Mas] were very emotional about Dani getting married. She was their first born and she was there through all the highs and lows.

“They couldn’t be more proud and they love Jarrod like a son. Danny walked her down the aisle. Jo joked that they should both do it but they’re keeping it traditional.

“Jo made sure Danny’s speech wasn’t outrageous.”

The source added that their gift to Dani was paying for her hen do and her £10,000 Suzanne Neville wedding dress.

Dani and Jarred’s two-year-old twin daughters Summer and Star were flower girls, and her son Santiago, four, and Dani’s brother Arty, 11, were page boys.
