Michael Chandler is the latest athlete to join forces with an energy drink brand. It was recently announced that Phorm Energy, supported by Dana White, has signed the UFC star to their team. This marks a significant milestone for both Chandler and the energy drink brand.
Phorm Energy is produced by Anheuser-Busch, one of the leaders in the beverage industry. The company also has the backing of the UFC CEO and 1st Phorm. With a new $1 million investment from Anheuser-Busch, Phorm Energy aims to capitalize on its momentum. The product is now available in 13,000 convenience stores across the United States.
Chandler is thrilled with the partnership. He values the brand’s mission and sees it as aligned with his own personal goals.
“Phorm Energy is a brand that stands for grit, peak performance, and the relentless pursuit of pushing beyond limits – values I live by every day,” Chandler said in a press release. “I’m pumped to team up with Phorm Energy and bring fans along for the ride as we create something powerful together. This partnership isn’t just about energy – it’s about inspiring people to unlock their full potential.”
Phorm Energy General Manager Shares Reaction to Michael Chandler Partnership
Phorm Energy general manager, Thomas Russell, also shared his thoughts on their new partnership with Chandler. The former Bellator champion’s rise in popularity, both for his UFC fights and engaging interviews, make him a perfect fit for the company.
Russell expressed joy with Chandler now joining their team at Phorm Energy. He praised the UFC star and shared why he’s the perfect addition to Phorm Energy.
“We’re thrilled to add an elite athlete and competitor like [Chandler] to our team. Michael’s authenticity, work ethic, and high-energy persona align with Phorm Energy’s mission to empower individuals through performance-driven products and community engagement,” Russell said in a press release.
Russell continued:
“Michael embodies the spirit of resilience and excellence that defines our brand, and we’re excited to collaborate with him on meaningful experiences and content for our fans.”
Phorm Energy’s foray into sports isn’t just with MMA. In addition to Chandler, the company has established a partnership with Hendrick Motorsports. They also have NIL deals with college football players Whit and West Weeks.
What’s Next for Michael Chandler?
Chandler’s partnership with Phorm Energy is another venture outside the UFC. However, ‘Iron’ is also still focused on his MMA career. Despite setbacks, he remains optimistic about facing Conor McGregor inside the octagon.
The two have been linked to a bout since serving as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter. Their bout was initially scheduled for UFC 303, but McGregor withdrew due to an injury.
Now, the UFC has confirmed plans for a historic event at the White House for 2026. Both competitors expressed interest in fighting on that card. Chandler said he has unfinished business with McGregor and believes their fight would be an ideal headliner.
“That’s a fight that I want. I want the White House. Ideally if it becomes Conor, that would be awesome,” Chandler told MMA Fighting. “I got respect for him, he’s got respect for me, but we do have unfinished business. And, he has expressed interest.”
He added:
“Conor and I, it makes sense. I did my job, I signed on the dotted line. I’ve still never pulled out of a fight, never missed weight.”
