EXCLUSIVE: Publishing sensation The Da Vinci Code is being turned into an experiential event. Bestselling author Dan Brown has joined forces with Massimiliano Siccardi, creator of Van Gogh Immersive, to reimagine The Da Vinci Code as an event in a similar vein. Siccardi describes the project as “a journey through the mind of Leonardo — his inventions, his obsessions, his brilliance — and the unveiling of Da Vinci works the world has never seen.” The project is being produced by U.S. film producers Brett Kerr and Andrea Bari through their company Name and Like Productions. Kerr most recently produced feature Waltzing With Brando, starring Billy Zane and Jon Heder. Bari and Kerr are developing the experience alongside Brown and Siccardi. Details on the international rollout, creative partners, and premiere venues are being kept under wraps for now but are due to be announced in early 2026. The Van Gogh experience, which can be found in more than a dozen cities across the U.S., Europe and Asia, is an immersive, multimedia art exhibition featuring large-scale, floor-to-ceiling projections of the Dutch icon’s paintings set to a soundtrack. The experience often includes interactive elements and a virtual reality component. 2003 mystery thriller novel The Da Vinci Code is one of the best-selling American novels of all time. The book, which was adapted into a film starring Tom Hanks, follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon and French cryptologist Sophie Neveu as they race to solve the murder of a Louvre curator. The investigation uncovers a trail of clues hidden in Leonardo da Vinci’s works, which leads them to the secret society of the Priory of Sion. They must decipher the puzzles to protect a controversial historical secret: the possibility that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a child and that their bloodline continued through history. WME, which reps Brown, is said to be “championing” the collaboration, led by Conor Beesemyer and Sylvie Rabineau, with legal oversight provided by Surpin, Mayersohn & Coghill, LLP and Jackoway Austen. Brown shared: “The visceral power of immersive experiences has always fascinated and moved me, and I’m beyond excited to be developing this project with the legendary artist Massimiliano Siccardi.” “I’m incredibly excited about this collaboration with Dan Brown; our relationship has already proven to be positively rewarding, exciting, and creatively sophisticated,” added Siccarrdi. “With this team, I am certain that we will produce outstanding in-person immersive exhibits the world has yet to experience.” “We’re thrilled to help build a bridge between the genius of Da Vinci and the limitless possibilities of immersive art,” said Bari and Kerr in a joint statement. “This is about expanding how audiences experience wonder — and rewriting the boundaries between art, technology, and emotion.”
