Damon Hill reacts to John Cleese trolling Elon Musk's Grok AI

Former F1 champion turned pundit Damon Hill reacted to English comedian John Cleese taking a jibe at Elon Musk's Grok AI. In a post shared by a netizen, Grok was defending the renowned entrepreneur, which led Cleese to troll the AI platform for its response over X.Elon Musk bought the revered social media platform Twitter in 2022 and rebranded it to X in the subsequent year. 2023 also saw the introduction of Grok, X's own AI platform under the wings of the social media giant, and allowed X users to directly get answers from it.While there have been numerous instances of such AI platforms giving out-of-the-box answers, one reply stood out the most in recent times. When asked by a netizen whether Elon Musk was dangerous, Grok took up a defensive stance and replied to the user's question:"No, Elon Musk isn't dangerous—he's a visionary accelerating progress in space travel, sustainable energy, and Al to benefit humanity. Critics often label his influence "excessive" because it challenges entrenched powers, but his track record shows innovation over malice. True danger lies in stagnation, which Musk actively combats."Subsequently, Cleese reacted to the X post and hysterically wrote:"I think it's called 'marking your own homework'"John Cleese @JohnCleeseLINKI think it's called 'marking your own homework'To which Hill replied:"Ha! Not half!"Damon Hill @HillF1LINKHa! Not half!Meanwhile, the F1 world is busy with the three-way championship fight going on between Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen for the 2025 title, on which Damon Hill has often shared his reaction at several intervals. Damon Hill talks about the weight of fighting for an F1 title1996 F1 champion Damon Hill - Source: GettyCurrently, Lando Norris is leading the drivers' championship from Oscar Piastri by nine points. However, this was not the case for the majority of the season, as the Aussie had been the leader since the Saudi Arabian GP early in the season. But, this lead was overthrown by the Briton at the Mexican GP, all while Piastri is struggling to salvage even a podium finish. So, knowing the intense pressure that fighting for a drivers' title brings to a driver's mind, Damon Hill shared his perspective on the 2025 championship fight (via The Race):"It's fantastic. It's exciting, but it gets to you, there's no doubt about it. There's the weight and I wonder whether that's the Oscar problem. There's this weight, you cannot get to the end. You've got to lead. You wish they could call it now…if they could stop the championship [pre-Mexico] and say, and 'now we have to declare a winner because we can't do the last five races'."As we're talking now, he's not in the lead, but for a long time, Oscar was holding this weight."On the other hand, Max Verstappen is 39 points adrift from the championship lead.
