Disturbing details have come to light about Joshua Jahn, 29, the suspected shooter who opened fire on an ICE facility and killed one detainee. The shooter appeared to make a dig at Donald Trump years before the so-called “politically motivated attack”. Video game–obsessed shooter Joshua Jahn spent nearly 17,500 hours playing online games, mostly “first-person shooter” titles focused on eliminating opponents, according to his Steam account.Records obtained from Joshua Jahn’s Steam account reportedly revealed that he was obsessed with playing video games online and even logged in some time right before he carried out the shooting, The New York Post reported. That amounts to nearly 15% of his entire life — including sleeping hours — on the video game platform Steam over the course of a decade and a half.The 29-year-old, known by his online pals as “SAM I Am” and “Frank Hoenikker,” spent nearly 7,000 hours in the open-world survival game “Rust,” his online profile detailed. Joshua Jahn obsessively played the 2007 first-person shooter Team Fortress 2, amassing 3,400 hours, with his final session just hours before he opened fire at the Dallas ICE Facility, leaving one dead and two critically injured.Joshua Jahn targeted an ICE bus carrying multiple detainees and agents into the field office’s sally port Wednesday morning. As he fired indiscriminately inside the facility, one migrant detainee was killed and two others were critically wounded. No law enforcement personnel were harmed. Jahn’s brother, Noah Jahn, said his sibling wasn’t a very political person in an interview with NBC News.However, the shooter’s Steam info has shown a now-disturbing link with Trump, years before the crime. Between December 15, 2019, and September 18, 2020, Jahn changed his name on his account to “#Impeachment,” according to records seen by the Post. During this time period, Trump was undergoing his first impeachment trial of his first term.Other games he played included Left 4 Dead 2, Ark: Survival Edition, Grand Theft Auto V, Rocket League, and Counter Strike, among others.
