The Dallas Cowboys are already having to deal with injuries, as DaRon Bland, CeeDee Lamb and Cooper Beebe are all out dealing with various injuries.Things only got worse on Monday, as it was reported that rookie offensive lineman Tyler Booker is the most recent Cowboys player to suffer an injury. He is expected to miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain in the loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He was able to play all 74 snaps in the game on Sunday, and that toughness is a big reason why the Cowboys took him No. 12 in this past year’s draft. The timing of the injury is especially tough not just because of the team already having injury issues, but Sunday was by far the best game that Booker has played this year. He did a very good job in the ground game, helping the Cowboys average 6.1 yards per carry against the Bears. The issue was the team got down big early, so they had to start throwing the ball even more. Not having Beebe and Booker in Week 4 is going to be especially difficult, as the Cowboys welcome back Micah Parsons and an outstanding Green Bay Packers defensive line. Parsons has been great to start the season, as he is currently eighth in the league with 15 pressures. With Beebe out, the Cowboys are starting to get very thin on the offensive line, as T.J. Bass is a guy who could be the starter in Week 4.Injuries are obviously a big part of the game, but few teams in the league have had to deal with so many to start the year. The Cowboys are down their best defensive player, best offensive player and two of their best offensive line. The offensive line looked like it could be a strength for the Cowboys at the start of the year, but they are now having to just plug guys into the starting lineup. The game against the Packers is always a big one, but there was the obvious added hype with Parsons returning back to Dallas. Green Bay is coming off a stunning 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and will surely be highly motivated to come out and play a great game for Parsons.Brian Schottenheimer is only three games into his head coaching career in Dallas, and things have already gotten very difficult. He and the team have to find a way to hang on and stay above water while dealing with these injuries, or the season could go down hill very quickly. For more on the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL, visit Newsweek Sports.
