During the Emmys ceremony, comedian and host Nate Bargatze honored some of the year’s biggest shows, with The Studio breaking the record for most wins by a comedy series in a single season with 13 awards out of its 23 nominations, and Netflix’s breakout hit Adolescence nabbed six trophies.
And every win was worth continuing the party. Other shows also scored high honors, including Severance, which took eight wins after 27 nominations, The Penguin, which received nine wins after 24 nominations and The Pitt, which won five of its 13 nominations.
Even if stars didn’t take home a golden trophy tonight, they have a lot to celebrate. After all, many actors like Javier Bardem, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody earned their first ever nominations in their respective categories.
For Adam, the opportunity to even star in Nobody Wants This was, as he said in a statement to E! News in July, “one of the most rewarding experiences” of his career.
“I’m so grateful to be one small part of this extraordinarily talented and collaborative cast and crew,” Adam added. “Thank you to the Television Academy for this recognition…it really means a lot to me.”
