Daisy May Cooper reveals This Country won't return as she's 'lost so much weight and had my lips done'

Daisy May Cooper has said This Country won’t return as she’s “lost so much weight” and had her “lips done”. The comedian, 39, has revealed a return of the BBC mocumentary - which made her and her brother Charlie famous - is off the cards due to her changed appearance. Daisy has been candid in the past about getting lip fillers, and has lost 10-stone on her weight loss journey. However, luckily for comedy fans, she told Radio Times she is in the process of writing something with her brother. “It's early days but we're working on something unscripted,” she told the magazine. “We can't do This Country, though, because I've lost so much weight and I've had my lips done. We'd have to say that Kerry's had a tapeworm and been stung by a bee.” Daisy rose to fame with the beloved BBC programme, where she played outspoken Kerry Mucklowe. Her brother, Charlie, played her cousin in the series, Kurtan. Previously, Daisy has spoken about why she wanted to have a health transformation. “I'm so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction,” she told BBC podcast How To Be In The Spotlight. “I wasn't healthy,” she added. “I couldn't breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.” She also said she has been subject to cruel comments since losing weight. “And I've had some messages like, ‘Well, now you've lost the weight you're not funny any more.’ “What the f**k? Why do women have to be f**king fat to be funny? That makes me so angry. “I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn't.” The BBC star initially turned to the keto diet, a strict low-carb regime, but later confessed that while it delivered results, she “wouldn’t recommend it.” She previously told Daily Mail she developed kidney stones as a result of the diet, explaining: “Because all I was eating all meat and cheese, like Henry VIII.” Before adding: “The pressure on women to lose weight – at any cost – it’s insane. It’s horrendous.”
