Celesta Rivas’ mother confirmed the teen had been dating someone named David before she disappeared

Singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is reportedly under fire after online conversations linked to him about a death investigation started disappearing from the internet, reports The Sun. The decaying body of a 15-year-old girl was found in the trunk of his abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles earlier this month.Singer D4vd is facing backlash online after Redditors accused him of moderating his own subreddit and allegedly deleting posts critical of him amid the police investigation of Celesta Rivas. Users began to point out that, in addition to his song titled Romantic Homicide, D4vd had an unreleased song with lyrics about someone named Celeste.The users on Reddit noticed a weird activity on the subreddit and claimed posts raising concerns about Celesta Rivas’ and the singer’s D4vd were reportedly removed. Fans of D4vd, who is best known for making music that is popular on TikTok, began to piece together alleged clues with saved screenshots and pictures from the singer’s social media accounts. The report claimed that the subreddit was locked and prevented users from posting. Many alleged that D4vd left the subreddit entirely, which disables further posts unless members request to join. Currently, no one is listed on the moderator list. Posts in a subreddit can only be deleted by the user who posted them or the subreddit’s moderator. Reddit users claimed that the only moderator listed belonging to the subreddit was D4vd himself. However, the theory is unconfirmed as Reddit is largely a pseudonymous platform.”It’s disgusting. Check detailsThe controversy stems from a statement by an individual claiming to moderate D4vd’s Discord server and Twitch channel, who said they had no knowledge of Rivas’ real age or the fact that she was reported missing. “From what we saw on D4vd’s Twitch streams and her activity on the Discord server, we assumed she was around 18 or 19,” the moderator explained, adding that they had little direct interaction with D4vd or his team. TMZ clarified that the moderator is not affiliated with Twitch and was not speaking on behalf of the platform.Theories debunkedA Reddit spokesperson told The U.S. Sun that the account in question—rumored by users to belong to D4vd—was created only four months ago. In the meantime, users have shifted their discussions to a new forum, r/D4vd2, to continue following the investigation. D4vd did not respond to requests for comment and has not publicly addressed the situation.Celesta Rivas was found dismembered in the front trunk of D4vd’s Tesla in a tow yard on September 8. When police responded to employees calling about a disgusting smell from the car, they found the heavily decomposed body wrapped in a bag inside the trunk. On September 17, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department searched a house in Hollywood Hills where D4vd was believed to be staying.Investigators reportedly seized a computer and brought multiple evidence bags out of the house. Days after the raid, D4vd and his manager broke their lease on the house. Cops still haven’t named D4vd as a person of interest in the case and have said he’s been cooperative in the investigation.
