The Mower County Curling Club will be hosting a free Learn to Curl open house from 3-5 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Packer Arena. The group is hoping to expand interest in the area and is inviting people to this open house to give the sport a try in a small group setting. All ages and abilities are welcome and no experience or equipment is required. Participants should plan to be at the arena for around 60-90 minutes and throughout that time will receive education about the basics or the sport, on-ice instruction for delivering and sweeping rocks and play one end.
