Police locate suspected driver involved in CT hit-and-run crash that killed seventh grader The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad conducted the investigation into a fatal collision between a vehicle and a mini-bike that took place around 8:47 p.m. in the area of 316 Courtland Ave. on Aug. 2, Booth said. According to Booth. a 12-year-old boy was riding a mini-bike on Courtland Avenue with a family member who was on a scooter. The suspect vehicle, a 2004 Honda Accord, was seized and the suspect was identified as Umana-Umana. Booth said. Umana-Umana allegedly said that he had an attorney and would not provide any information to the investigating officers. The arrest warrant application was reviewed by the State’s Attorney’s Office and signed by a Stamford Superior Court judge, according to Booth. Umana-Umana surrendered at Stamford Police Department headquarters on Monday, where he was served with the arrest warrant. He was released after posting a $200,000 court-set bond and is scheduled for an arraignment of Nov. 10.
