Crossbows stolen during break-ins at Kalamazoo business

KALAMAZOO, MI — Police are investigating break-ins at a Kalamazoo business that resulted in the theft of several crossbows and other items. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is asking for the public to help identify a suspect in the break-ins at a business in the 2800 block of Portage St. Crossbows and related supplies, valued at several thousand dollars, were stolen, KDPS said. Surveillance footage shows the suspect as a white man of average height and build, with short brown hair. He is frequently seen wearing a sweater or jacket, along with a face mask and gloves, police said. The investigation remains in its early stages, police said. KDPS did not provide the business name. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 269-337-8139.
