Creighton Prep extends season record with win over Papillion-La Vista

Omaha Creighton Prep remained unbeaten Friday night with a 21-10 victory over Papillion-La Vista.
The Class A No. 4 Junior Jays moved to 5-0, their best start since 2008 when Prep finished the regular season 9-0.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Junior Jays scored midway through the second period on a Statue of Liberty play. Running back Angelo Walker took a behind-the back handoff from quarterback Jack Lammers and raced 18 yards for the TD.
The score stayed that way until late in the third quarter when Papio’s Cooper Wills booted a 31-yard field goal.
Prep put the game away in the fourth on two short scoring runs by Walker. He went over from the 7-yard line and the 1 to finish with all three Junior Jays TDs.
Papio scored in the final minute on a 1-yard touchdown toss from quarterback R.J. Vitera to Luke Bennett.
The No. 10 Monarchs fell to 3-2.
