Cowboys' Jerry Jones Escalates Feud with Micah Parsons After Latest Dig

The Dallas Cowboys took on the Green Bay Packers in Week 4’s “Sunday Night Football” showdown, and it didn’t disappoint.
The game marked the first time former Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons played his former team after being traded to the Packers prior to the start of the season.
What transpired on Sunday was a dramatic matchup that ended in a 40-40 tie. While Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wasn’t exactly thrilled with the tie, he did seem pleased that the Packers and Parsons didn’t leave with a win either.
There’s been some back and forth between Jones and Parsons for weeks, and Jones’ latest comments seem to have added more friction to the already complicated relationship.
After the game, Parsons talked about Jones and said that he didn’t contact him with the news of his trade to the Packers. Parsons specifically said that Jones “couldn’t tell me [about the trade] as a man.”
Now Jones is saying that there was a reason he didn’t contact Parsons.
Speaking on 105.3 the Fan, Jones said that he stopped calling Parsons because Parsons told him to take his number out of Jerry’s phone.
“I really don’t want to respond to that at all,” Jones said when asked about Parsons’ statement, via Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports. “But that phone call thing got stopped when he told me to take his number off my dial. It was don’t call him anymore. So, I quit those calls.”
Fans saw Jones’ comments on social media, and they didn’t hesitate to share their thoughts on the wild situation.
“Isn’t that the reason that agents are to be negotiators with and players play? This one is on Jerry,” a reply to Robinson’s post stated.
“Lol at Jerry still being mad Micah wanted him to negotiate a contract with the agent,” another said.
The Cowboys now head into Week 5 against the New York Jets with 1-2-1 record and some mixed feelings after the tie game. The Jets are 0-4 and coming off a disappointing loss to the Miami Dolphins on “Monday Night Football.” It could be the perfect game for Dallas to right its ship.
