As the Dallas Cowboys prepared to battle the Chicago Bears in Week 3, all eyes were on Trevon Diggs’ status ahead of the matchup. Diggs was a late addition to the injury report as the star corner is dealing with a knee injury.
ESPN’s Todd Archer reported that Diggs will play against Chicago in Week 3. New addition Jadeveon Clowney is expected to make his Cowboys debut as well. Diggs completed an extensive pregame workout before being cleared to suit up against the Bears.
“Trevon Diggs will play after going through a 25-minute workout before pregame warmups, according to multiple sources,” Archer detailed in a September 21, 2025 message on X. “He was added to injury report on Saturday with a right knee injury and had been listed as questionable.”
Cowboys Face Micah Parsons & Packers in Week 4
Soon, the Cowboys will be preparing for a familiar face as the team squares off against Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. After the Packers’ Week 2 victory over the Washington Commanders, Parsons briefly looked ahead to facing his former team.
“Obviously, you know, my family and everyone’s looking forward to it,” Parsons noted during a September 11, interview with Amazon’s “TNF Nightcap,” per CBS Sports. “But you know, I’m just going to let my actions talk. It’s just gonna be funny, because all my friends are there.
“… So just going against those guys, it’s going to be heartbreaking, but, damn, I’m excited for the matchup.”
Cowboys DC Matt Eberflus on Facing Caleb Williams & Bears: ‘Keeping the Process & Preparation the Same’
Just one season ago, Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus was the Bears head coach. The Cowboys assistant spoke in generalities when asked about preparing to face Caleb Williams and his former team.
“We’re keeping the process and our preparation the same as we always do,” Eberflus said of facing the Bears, per The Athletic’s Dan Wiederer. “I’m always grateful and have much gratitude for my whole coaching career.
“So I always look back at everything as ‘How you can learn. How you can grow and get better and improve.’”
