Cowboys decimated by injuries ahead of Micah Parsons return

The Dallas Cowboys are going to be severely understaffed for Micah Parsons’ homecoming Sunday night.
Dallas anticipates rookie guard Tyler Booker to miss four to six weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain in the team’s 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The sidelining of Booker, a 2025 first-round pick who played every snap against Chicago, is another gut-punch to an offense that’s been ravaged by injuries in recent weeks.
The headliner on their injury report is star wideout CeeDee Lamb, who also suffered a high ankle sprain against the Bears.
Though his injury initially appeared minor, ESPN reported that Dallas will monitor his condition over the next 10-14 days before deciding about his status.
The Cowboys previously lost center Cooper Beebe, who landed on the injured reserve after spraining his ankle in the team’s Week 2 victory over the New York Giants.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed that Booker and Lamb could join Beebe on IR.
“We’re looking at that,” he told CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell. “We’ll watch it a few more days. We don’t have to decide about that.”
Dallas couldn’t have bit the injury bug at a worse time, as they now face a Week 4 matchup against Parsons and the Green Bay Packers — the All-Pro edge rusher’s first game back at AT&T Stadium since being traded before the 2025 season.
The deal sickened the Cowboys faithful, a feeling exacerbated by Parsons’ early dominance in Green Bay.
Dallas’ defense has stumbled considerably, while Parsons has racked up 1.5 sacks and 15 pressures through his first three games wearing Green and Gold.
On Sunday, Dallas’ depleted offensive line will attempt to ward off Parsons’ relentless pursuit of Dak Prescott — a quarterback without his most reliable target and a beleaguered offensive line.
Backup Brock Hoffman took over in Beebe’s place against Chicago, while TJ Bass is expected to fill in for Booker moving forward.
It’s shaping up to be a long night for America’s Team.
