Blowhard country star Zach Bryan learned a tough lesson on Sunday: never climb over a barbed wire fence to make childish empty threats to a fellow country singer if you are not going to back up the tough talk with some actual walk.
During the Born & Raised Festival in Oklahoma on Saturday, video captured the moment Bryan almost came to blows with Gavin Adcock, another country singer who has previously stated that he is not a big fan of Bryan over his refusal to sign autographs after shows. Their longtime feud nearly boiled over, as Bryan climbed over the fence, only to make a fool of himself. (Subscribe to MR. RIGHT, a free weekly newsletter about modern masculinity)

Adcock shared his own side of the confrontation on Sunday and said that Bryan could have confronted the entire day at the music festival, but appeared to wait for an opportunity when the two were separated by a fence, which would make for a more dramatic altercation. He also said he will be praying for the fellow country star.

Unfortunately for Bryan, when you make empty threats and hurl insults at another person, you do not actually come off as a tough guy. You only seem far more childish than the person you are attacking, unable to control your emotions, and weak.
Unless you can back up a heated and unnecessary threat with the goods, then you should always refrain from picking a fight. As the saying goes, you don’t want to start fights, but you should know how to finish them.
Adcock came away from the confrontation looking more composed and in control, whereas Bryan came across as any other annoying blowhard with a chip on his shoulder who constantly needs to be acting tougher than he appears to compensate for something.
