Legendary country singer Tim McGraw has been facing a major health struggle in recent years. After going through four back surgeries and a double knee replacement, the singer opened up about a time when he was contemplating giving up on his career. The 58-year-old singer was seen getting candid with the crowd during his concert at the Yaamava Theatre in Highland, California, on October 25. As per a Fox News report, the country star opened up about his health hazards to the crowd and shared, “After going through all of that for a couple of years and getting depressed over it and all those things, stuff not working right, this spring, before I had my final back surgery, things were getting really bad. So I was seriously contemplating and figuring out how to walk away.” Following Tim’s confession, the crowd booed at him, and the singer admitted that he did not want to leave but did not have any hopes left for his health to get better. “But it’s gotten better,” he shared, adding, “So during that process, I had this idea for a song that sort of dealt with facing age and facing all that stuff that comes along with it. So I called a good friend of mine, Tom Douglas, and we sat down and we wrote a song, and I’ll play it for you, if I can get through it.” Tim then proceeded to play King Rodeo, one of his most famous songs, which he released as a live single in August. The song is about a former rodeo man who learns to embrace all he has been through. Tim McGraw Gives Shoutout to His Doctor After finishing the song, Tim shared with the crowd that his knee replacement doctor was there in the audience and gave a huge shoutout to him. Additionally, the singer also praised Dr Nicholas Rose, who had recently done hand surgery on his wife, Faith Hill. “Give these guys a hand…the reason I wanted to tell that part is because the doctors are here,” he shared. The singer’s latest album, Standing Room Only, was released in 2023, marking his sixteenth studio album. Tim McGraw is currently on tour promoting this album and is set to play four nights at the Colosseum Theatre in Las Vegas this December.
