There is an epidemic of misinformation being distributed to countless sites across the internet.” Brooks & Dunn assured followers, writing, “We’re working non-stop to eliminate the problem, but the sheer volume is overwhelming. Unfortunately, we can’t control it all. Welcome to the era of ungoverned, AI-generated falsehoods.” To conclude the post, the country duo reminded fans, “If you see something with our name or face on it that didn’t come straight from our verified official accounts, don’t fall for it. For now, good old common sense seems to be the most effective weapon against the crazies and the ‘machine.'” Folks in the comments flooded Brooks & Dunn with support, with one Instagram user writing, “This goes for any artist! You never know what is real or not. Stick to the source – agreed! Thanks for the share. ❤️.” Another fan declared, “AI sux but B&D will always rawk 🤠🤘❤️.” Someone else shared, “I thought Ronnie and Kix were out walking the beach hand in hand!! That’s what Facebook says anyways 😂😂 Crazy times boys 🎸🎸.” A different Instagram user joked, “Sounds like something AI would say.” Meanwhile, yet another fan commented, “Thanks for the heads up. This is happening to a lot of artists and entertainers. Everyone just keep your eyes open and think straight.”
