Chase Bank, Wawa, The Goddard School, Jawns on Fire, Costco, Whole Foods, J. Crew Factory, West Shore Home, Chipotle, and Hyatt Studios are among the businesses that have opened or soon will open new locations across south-central Pennsylvania. Below you’ll find our latest rundown of more than six dozen new business openings in the region. Our new business list runs several times a year on PennLive. Adams County Straban Township Agape Services LLC Agape Services LLC, through the Adams County Economic Development Corporation, was approved for a 15-year, $400,000 Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan to purchase a 10,440-square-foot childcare facility at 50 Expedition Trail, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development. The building consists of nine classrooms and two offices, as well as a large parking area and playground outside. The daycare facility is expected to reach its full capacity of 245 children within three years. Gettysburg Gettysburg Excursion Railway Patriot Rail launched the Gettysburg Excursion Railway. The 90-minute excursion train rides depart from the 1884 Gettysburg train depot at 106 N. Washington St., near the southeast entrance of Gettysburg College. Train rides will include narration highlighting the region’s stories. Berks County Spring Township BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse The restaurant is planned for the Broadcast District at Spring Township, a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use center at Paper Mill Road and Broadcasting Road. Construction on the development is planned next year. European Wax Center The business is planned to go in the Broadcast District at Spring Township. Cumberland County Camp Hill AAA Central Penn AAA Central Penn will open a “store-within-a-store” at Giant at the Camp Hill Shopping Center, 3301 Trindle Road. The store will specialize in travel services. East Pennsboro Township Bella Sicilia Bakery & Deli The bakery opened at Camp Hill Commons at 79 Erford Road. Hampden Township AAA Central Penn The AAA Central Penn “store-within-a-store” will open at Giant at Hampden Marketplace, 4510 Marketplace Way. The store will specialize in member services. Chase Bank Chase Bank opened a branch at 5528 Carlisle Pike, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s Weekly Bulletin. Morning Fuel The breakfast and lunch restaurant is opening at the former Redd’s Smokehouse BBQ at 4890 Carlisle Pike. Simpson Family Restaurant Simpson Family Restaurant will open at 5235 Simpson Ferry Road, across from the Windsor Park Shopping Center. Wawa Wawa plans to build a new store on lots 4A and 4B in Cumberland Technology Park on Technology Parkway at the intersection of Mount Zion Drive and Technology Parkway near Wertzville Road. Lower Allen Township Kokua Shave Ice Kokua Shave Ice has opened in the food court at the Capital City Mall. Royal Chocolate Crepe & Waffle The shop opened at 5202 Simpson Ferry Road and offers crepes, pancakes, specialty chocolates, cheesecakes, and coffee. Mechanicsburg Poached Restaurant The brand-new restaurant located at 135 W. Main St. offers a brunch-style menu that includes pancakes and French toast dishes. South Street Philly Cheesesteak & Roast Pork The restaurant opened at 610 E. Simpson St. The Goddard School of Mechanicsburg (Legacy Park) The early childhood center is opening at Legacy Park, a mixed-use development. The school is for children ranging in age from six weeks to six years old. Lemoyne Home Genius Exteriors Home Genius Exteriors, an exterior home improvement company, has launched a division at 1300 Market St., Suite 108. Mr. Appliance of Mechanicsburg Mr. Appliance of Mechanicsburg held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce to mark the opening of its new office at 706 State St. in Lemoyne. Mr. Appliance of Mechanicsburg is an independently owned and operated franchise led by Mark and Jennifer Powl. Mr. Appliance of Mechanicsburg’s service area includes western Cumberland County, northern York County, Dauphin County, and some of Lebanon County. The company provides appliance repair and service for both residential and commercial equipment. Vintage From The Sole The store at 415 Bosler Ave. mainly sells men’s clothing and accessories. Lower Allen Township Jawns on Fire The sneaker and clothing store will open at the Capital City Mall. Monroe Township Talking Breads The bakery will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 23 for its new location at 1619 W. Lisburn Road. Silver Spring Township Costco Costco, the members-only big-box chain, is expected to open across from Cumberland Valley High School at 6719 Carlisle Pike on Oct. 30. J. Crew Factory The store opened at Silver Spring Square at 6416 Carlisle Pike. The discount clothing store sells apparel and accessories for men, women and children and is known for fun, classic and colorful styles. Upper Allen Township Chipotle Chipotle plans to construct a restaurant at The Mills at Shepherdstown Crossing, a mixed-use development at Gettysburg Pike and Route 114. The planned 2,385-square-foot, 60-seat Chipotle would include a drive-thru lane. Hyatt Studios The hotel under construction at 381 Cumberland Parkway is on the site of a former Motel 6. Hyatt Studios is an upper mid-scale extended stay hotel brand. The brand was launched by Hyatt in 2023, and the first hotel opened this year. The brand marked Hyatt’s entry into upper-midscale lodging in the United States. West Shore Home The home improvement company, which provides window, door, and flooring installation, moved its branch office to a 22,000-square-foot building in the Rossmoyne Business Center at 5073 Ritter Road. Dauphin County Harrisburg Agape Elixir Bar The alcohol alternative bar opened at 23 S. Third St. The beverage bar offers a selection of the latest trends, such as CBD-infused cocktails, kava, elixirs, hydrogen water, and coffee blends. Kusina de Isla The Filipino restaurant opened at 1535 N. Sixth St. Pennmark Management Company The company plans to convert the former nurses’ residence of the former Polyclinic Hospital at 2601 N. Third St. into a 96-unit apartment building with a commercial/community space on the first floor. The Plant Witch The retailer opened at the Shops on 3rd at 11 N. Third St. The Plant Witch offers a selection of houseplants, plant care products, crystals, tarot decks, and incense. The Plant Witch will also host community events. Lower Paxton Township The Dog Stop Harrisburg The Dog Stop opened at 4211 E. Park Circle, offering dog boarding, daycare, and grooming. The Dog Stop also has a retail store that sells a variety of foods, supplements, treats, chews, and toys for dogs. Wow PA Sports Cards The shop moved to the Paxton Square shopping center at 6065 Allentown Blvd. The store sells, buys, grades, and trades sports cards, as well as Pokémon, Magic, NASCAR, Formula 1, and UFC cards. Lower Swatara Township Yuengling 1829 Bar & Grill The restaurant opened at Harrisburg International Airport. The restaurant’s menu includes sandwiches, salads, wings, fish, and steak, among other items. The bar offers a selection of beer, cocktails, mocktails, and wine. The restaurant is located right past the secure checkpoint, meaning only ticketed passengers can eat there. Paxtang The Heating & Cooling Guys The 5,000 square-foot space at 3110 Pike Street will serve as the company’s new headquarters. The Heating & Cooling Guys provides a full range of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning services to residential and commercial customers, including system installation, maintenance, and repair. The move is expected to take place in March. Susquehanna Township AAA Central Penn AAA Central Penn is opening a “store-within-a-store” at Giant at Blue Mountain Commons, 2300 Linglestown Road. The store will specialize in insurance services. Chick-fil-A A Chick-fil-A is planned for 3951 Union Deposit Road between Sheetz and Wendy’s and near the Union Square shopping center. Chick-fil-A The restaurant will open at 2007 Dotson Court. Chocolena Coffee Shop The shop opened in the Union Square shopping center at 3905 Union Deposit Road, serving pastries, ice cream, milkshakes, cheesecakes, waffles, and crepes. Swatara Township Half Off Outlet The 13,000-square-foot store opened at 435 Amity Road, selling thousands of discounted items, from toys and makeup to patio furniture and tools. HoHo’s Billiards The billiards hall is moving to the former home of Rod’s Roadhouse Café at 1031 Eisenhower Blvd. After the move, the business will rebrand as HoHo’s Billiards & Lounge. Wawa Wawa plans to build a 6,550-square-foot store with a fueling station at 449 Eisenhower Blvd. and at 4015 Paxton St. West Hanover Township Zoomania Zoomania has relocated to the Blue Mountain Business Center at 7050 Allentown Blvd., Unit 1, in West Hanover Township. Franklin County Chambersburg Boyer & Ritter The accounting and business advisory firm has relocated its Chambersburg office to 990 Lincoln Way East, Suite 4, a site formerly home to Plasterer’s Florist and Greenhouse, which closed in 2024 after more than 110 years in business. The company has had an office in the Chambersburg area since 1999. Waynesboro Souders Industries 627 North Grant Street LLC, through the Franklin County Area Development Corporation, was approved for a 15-year, $2 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan to acquire an 80,654-square-foot manufacturing facility on 10.1 acres located at 627 N. Grant St. The operating entity, Souders Industries Inc., will be merging operations into the new building from its leased 35,000-square-foot property at 6806 Anthony Highway in Quincy Township and a 15,000-square-foot property it currently owns at 19 Ash Street in Mont Alto. Both existing sites will remain active through March 2026 while the company completes its relocation. Production at the new site is expected to begin in April. Lancaster County Lancaster Federal Donuts & Chicken The shop will open at College Row at Franklin & Marshall at 621 Harrisburg Ave. in Lancaster. Federal Donuts & Chicken serves doughnuts, fried chicken, and coffee. Doughnut flavors range from cookies n’ cream to strawberry shortcake and cinnamon brown sugar. The shop is expected to open next year. HQ Water Solutions The company moved to 307 S. Lime St. The water treatment company offers residential and commercial services, including water testing and analysis, water softening, whole-house filtration, and reverse osmosis drinking water systems. The Gauchos Way The Gauchos Way, a Brazilian steakhouse, opened in the South Shoppes at the Park City Center at 629 Park City Center. In addition to steak, the restaurant also serves local beers, wines, and cocktails. Lebanon County South Lebanon Township Abarta Coca-Cola Beverages Abarta Coca-Cola Beverages is building a 240,000-square-foot sales and distribution facility on a 52-acre parcel at 12 Ritter Way. The facility is expected to be completed in June 2027. North Cornwall Township North Cornwall Commons Apartments Construction is underway for a fourth apartment building at 410 Springwood Drive. There will be 104 apartments in the building, which is expected to open in 2026 at North Cornwall Commons. Perry County Watts Township Susquehanna Crossings The project, which includes an 818,544-square-foot warehouse/distribution center and an adjacent 1,128,544-square-foot warehouse/distribution center on a property along Amity Road, is planned. York County Fairview Township New View Business Park The business park is planned for Industrial Drive and will include four buildings — a 10,000-square-foot building, an 18,000-square-foot facility, and two 100,000-square-foot buildings with the flexibility to combine the larger buildings into a single 200,000-square-foot facility. Hanover Seventh Shelf Romance Bookstore The store opened at 9 Carlisle St. The store is dedicated to romance novels. Manchester Township Baltimore Fabrication Baltimore Fabrication plans to open a 35,000-square-foot building at 1 Church Road. Wagman Wagman Inc., Wagman Construction Inc., and Wagman Heavy Civil Inc. have moved to a newly renovated facility at 3265 Farmtrail Road. Shrewsbury PC Xpert Company PC Xpert Company has moved to 41 Old Farm Lane. The York County Economic Alliance held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 27. Shrewsbury Township Little Caesars The pizza shop at 586 Shrewsbury Commons Ave. has opened. York Airborne Contamination Identification Associates LTD RSKL Real Estate Holdings LLC, through the York County Economic Development Corporation, was approved for a 15-year, $1.95 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan to acquire and renovate a warehouse at 300 North Sherman St., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The acquisition will provide additional space for Airborne Contamination Identification Associates LTD to consolidate all its operations. The property contains three parcels with approximately 39,070 square feet of warehouse space and 4,045 square feet of office space. Hotel/restaurant The former Citizens Bank building at 1 N. George St. will be transformed into a boutique hotel and upscale restaurant. The Woof Bar Downtown Inc., York County Economic Alliance, and the Buy Local Coalition held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of The Woof Bar at the New York Wire Works Building at 441 E. Market St. on Sept. 16. York Township Noni’s Table Noni’s Table, a café featuring food, beverages, and specialty cocktails, has opened inside Heritage Hills Resort.
