Michelle Keegan has admitted she feels emotional about Brassic ending. The actress has played Erin Croft since the comedy started in 2019 and it has been a career highlight for her. Knowing the new series will be the last is tough for her to take. Michelle said: “It’s really sad. I love this show and for me it’s felt like home. “Every year, I’d go off and do other projects and then I’d come back home to Brassic as it was always at the same time every year. “It was the nicest job to do because it was like seeing all your mates again.” Michelle predicts she will struggle without the show in her diary. She added: “It’s going to hit me more this year when it’s not coming back.” The show, which has starred Imelda Staunton and Dominic West, has been a big hit with fans. Michelle has loved getting such great reactions from fans. She said: “I’m going to miss it. You got it a lot especially being back filming in Manchester where so many people would come up to you or stop in the street and ask about Brassic. “People would come up and quote the famous lines or ask me what’s going to happen to Erin and Vinnie. It’s been great.” Over the year Brassic has had rave reviews from critics and won top TV awards. Michelle isn’t surprised it’s been such a success. She said: “I knew from day one. I had this feeling. You just knew it was going to be special. “It was a feeling we all got on the set too when we started filming. I’m not surprised it’s lasted this long.” The final series starts on September 25 at 9pm on Sky Max.
