A Coronation Street fan favourite has reportedly found love with a new partner following a dramatic body transformation and cosmetic procedure. Lisa George brought Beth Tinker to life on the beloved ITV soap for 13 years between 2011 and 2024. The 52 year old star opted for invasive Blepharoplasty surgery earlier this year after spending years feeling self-conscious about her looks. The actress has now found happiness with her financial adviser beau, Martin. Lisa is reportedly "thriving" alongside her new love interest. Sources revealed to The Sun : "Lisa has never looked or felt better – and her love life is thriving. She's having a great time with Martin. It's still early days but he's started attending events with her. "It's the first time in ages she's been happy to have someone by her side. Everyone is delighted for them." The smitten couple made their first public appearance together at a recent Manchester gathering. They attended the Manchester Awards at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, where Lisa stunned in a sparkling gold gown, reports the Mirror . Earlier last year, she booked an appointment with a leading facial surgeon in Manchester, coinciding with her preparations to leave the cobbles behind. During that period, the star admitted she would only apply particular makeup on set to hide her eyelids. Grimsby-born Lisa has undergone a significant health transformation over the past year, thanks to a surgical intervention, and is finally content with her reflection in the mirror. Alongside pursuing two history diplomas, Lisa – who showcased her skills on Dancing On Ice in 2020 – has been managing a medical condition that has resulted in partial blindness in one eye and loss of peripheral vision in the other. After years of seeking answers following initial sight loss in 2016, and a recurrence in 2022, she was diagnosed with NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy). In an exclusive chat with The Mirror last month, she shared: "I feel like my eyes have stabilised at the moment. I can see distances absolutely fine, but I can't see writing. All writing and numbers are really blurred, so I need glasses for reading, and for driving I have varifocals, so I can see the SatNav. "I don't like doing night driving because I have blind spots, but I think that's also an age thing! If we were filming Corrie scenes on the pavement in the dark, I'd ask to be on the inside of the pavement because I couldn't see the edge of the kerb." Determining it was time to tackle her concern, Lisa spent a year building up the nerve to arrange an £8,000 procedure given the potential complications, including the possibility of blindness. She also revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare genetic eye condition called NAION – non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, which triggers sudden sight loss due to inadequate blood supply and oxygen reaching the optic nerve.
