Sally Carman's real age has left Coronation Street fans in shock. The actress, who plays Abi Webster on the ITV soap opera, often shares glimpses into her life with her co-star and real-life husband, Joe Duttine , who plays Tim Metcalfe, but nobody had anticipated her real age. Earlier this year, Sally revealed that she had been "spoilt rotten" on her milestone birthday as her fans and co-stars rushed to celebrate the day with her. For her big day, Sally enjoyed a romantic dinner out with her husband, as well as days out with her nearest and dearest, and drinks with co-star Vicky Myers , who plays DS Lisa Swain on the show. "Birthday bitsie bobsies, #50rocks," she captioned her post, which has since been liked over 16,000 times. Vicky commented: "You deserve the world ! Happy birthday, love you," alongside a hand-heart emoji. Her post was also flooded with fans shocked by her age. One wrote: "So beautiful!! Praying I look like you when I'm 50." A second added: "Happy birthday Sally! There's no way you're 50!" "You're no way 50!! I know 40-year-olds that look worse than you, you look amazing," commented a third. Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Look 35 gosh beautiful." "Hope you had a great time celebrating 50 still can't believe it," said another. Meanwhile, another shocked fan penned: "50, I'd have guessed about 36. Share your secrets," alongside a shocked face emoji. Another gobsmacked fan typed: "50?! My goodness I thought you were only just in your 40s! You look amazing!" This year, Sally has been at the centre of a string of huge storylines in Weatherfield. In January, she was left shell-shocked when she found Mason Radcliffe, who was bleeding from a stab wound, which later killed him, had a detrimental impact on her mental health. The shocking scenes reminded her of her son, Seb's death four years ago, which saw her suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and she even started hallucinating, seeing her son. Abi received help for this and started going to therapy, but faced further heartache when her husband, mechanic Kevin Webster, was diagnosed with testicular cancer. She was later shocked by the arrival of Kevin's brother, Carl, and instantly noticed chemistry between them. Just weeks later, in April, Carl made a move on Abi and attempted to kiss her, but she turned down the advance and told him not to discuss it. While they had ignored the sparks between them, things soon changed when they shared a kiss in the garage. However, a distraught Kevin later discovered his wife's infidelities, with Abi revealing she would rather be with Carl than her husband. In a major plot twist, Carl has no intentions of settling down with Abi, which she has no idea about. When certain topics, including living arrangements, crop up, Carl completely changes the topic of conversation, which suggests that there's further heartache in store for Abi. But one thing is for sure, actress Sally and her husband Joe have a strict rule when they're at work. She revealed: "We stay away from each other as much as possible.
