Eventually, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) secretly headed to the cobbles and realised that his loved ones had called the police because he hadn’t arrived in Weatherfield at the expected time. When he spotted the cops, he panicked, and attempted to sneak into the pub through the beer garden, where he bumped into Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner). It was then that it became clear that he didn’t intend on coming home, when he offered to pay Lily to sneak his passport out to him. Fortunately, Lily told Eva and Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) but by the time they got outside, Will was gone again. Thankfully, he found his own way back to the Rovers later – but he wasn’t on his own. The Driscolls get to know Megan (Picture: ITV) The family gathered in the backroom to hear from Megan (Beth Nixon) Will’s old coach, who revealed that she’d found him camping out in one of the changing rooms at the sports hall and had brought him straight back. As dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) questioned why she didn’t phone them or the police, Megan argued that she was worried Will was a flight risk, before pointing out that she’d been right, seeing as he’d immediately legged it to try and get his passport. However, it later turned out that Megan’s story had been a lie, and there was something much more sinister going on. When Will snuck out into the ginnel later that night, he met Megan and she warned him to stop acting like a loose cannon, before promising him that they could be together again soon. It is clear that Will believes he is in a relationship with his former coach, but in reality, she has groomed him. Due to the fact Will thinks time with Megan is far more exciting than hanging out with his family, he is struggling to settle into life on the cobbles. In upcoming episodes, Eva is curious when she learns that James Bailey (Jason Callender) is a personal trainer. He takes Will for a PT session, but it’s very clear that he’s not even remotely interested. Later in the week, Will tells Eva and Ben about attending an athletics meeting in Leeds with his old team, but it appears to be a cover up story. Megan is played by newcomer Beth Nixon (Picture: ITV) A few days later, Megan drops Will off. He is devastated to be back to reality and no longer with Megan, so he stomps off in a foul mood. When Ben bumps into Megan outside, he insists on taking her back to the pub for lunch. Could Will confess all to his family during this moment? Given this storyline has only just begun, suffice to say we’re going to have to wait a little while before the Driscolls discover what’s been going on with Will. ‘We can see her slowly worm her way into the family and befriend Eva and Maggie and really get the women on side with her’, newcomer Beth Nixon said. Will believes he’s in a relationship with Megan (Picture: ITV) ‘They think she’s good for Will; they think she’s a brilliant mentor. So no one is suspecting anything at the moment. But we will see Lauren become suspicious because Lauren has obviously experienced something very similar to what Will’s going through. ‘So she knows what to look for; she knows the signs and she spots them on the street. So Megan changes tack and decides to use Daniel as the cover-up. ‘We get to sort of uncover how truly vile she can be. She will stop at nothing to come out on top and survive, basically.’
