Coromandel International, an agri-solutions provider from the Murugappa group stable, has posted a consolidated net profit of ₹793 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, as against ₹659 crore in the comparable quarter last year. The company posted net income of ₹9,771 crore in the quarter (₹7,498 crore). The profit after tax for the first half was at ₹1,295 crore ( ₹968 crore) on a total income of ₹16,897 crore ( ₹12,281 crore). “With favourable monsoons and a strong agrarian sentiment across key markets, the company proactively expanded its sales and distribution efforts to ensure the timely availability of fertilisers to farmers,” S. Sankarasubramanian, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Coromandel International, said in a statement on Thursday. “Coromandel’s fertiliser plants operated at full capacity and grew sales volumes by 17 per cent in the first half,” he said. “The crop protection business delivered a resilient performance, driven by strong growth in technical sales in global markets and healthy traction in the domestic formulations segment,” he said. The company’s retail business continued its steady expansion, adding around 100 new stores in Q2 and crossing the 1,000-store milestone. The brownfield expansion projects for sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid plants at Kakinada are progressing as per schedule and are expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter, the company said.
