Corey Heim dominates, ties Greg Biffle record with win at New Hampshire

What is there to say about this race that we haven’t said eight other times this season? Corey Heim wasn’t perfect today. He didn’t sweep the stages, but he was the best truck and driver on the track all day. It was just a matter of time, and if he could get around the other trucks without getting into trouble.

Today is a great sign for Heim and his quest to win at Phoenix. He has come up short two years in a row now, and this will be his last chance to get the job done. Right now, it doesn’t look like anything can stop Heim.

Corey Heim picks up another win on quest for title

The race in New Hampshire was the cutoff for the Round of 10. Corey Heim made a defensive move in the championship battle with his win. Chandler Smith had to get the win to advance, and with Heim’s victory, Smith was left on the outside looking in.

Smith and Jake Garcia are the two drivers out of the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs after today’s race in Loudon. It came down to a few points for Smith. He had put Rajah Caruth in a difficult position, but the 71 team was able to bounce back and get on the right side of the bubble.

Looking ahead to the rest of the playoffs, it’s Corey Heim’s to lose. Everything is set up for Heim to march to Phoenix and win this championship with 10+ wins to his name. The only driver who might be able to stop him is Layne Riggs. Until we see that happen, Heim is the man to beat.
