The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam held its seventh convocation ceremony on Saturday. As many as 279 BTech, 43 MTech and six PhD students received their certificates on the occasion V. Narayanan, Secretary of the Department of Space and Chairman of the Space Commission and ISRO, was the chief guest. The ceremony was presided over by Vijayalakshmi Deshmane, Chairperson of the Board of Governors. IIIT Kottayam’s Director (in-charge) Prasad Krishna and Registrar M. Radhakrishnan also attended. Jijo G. John, CEO of Calpine Group, was the Guest of Honour. In the M.Tech (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) programme, Ijas A. H. and Abhishek Suman won gold medals. In M.Tech (Cyber Security), the top honours went to Salini K. S. and Sreelakshmi K. S., while Saju S. clinched gold in M.Tech (Big Data and Machine Learning). Among the B.Tech graduates, Konyala Anish Reddy and Keerthana Menon topped the Computer Science and Engineering stream, while S. J. Satish Kumar and Rohith George Ninan led in Electronics and Communication Engineering. In Cyber Security, Zende Akhilesh Prafulla and Aditya Kumar Raushan emerged as the best performers.
