pupils have to endure rainy conditions A contract for the extension of the Sebai Primary School was terminated on November 18, 2024 and almost a year after, the project has still not been retendered and pupils have to endure rain blowing into their temporary learning space. The Ministry of Education on Tuesday issued a statement on the matter following a video posted on the Team Mohamed/We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) page showing rain beating into the area and water accumulating around the desks of pupils. In its release, the ministry said that the contract for the extension of the Sebai Primary School in Region One was awarded on August 9, 2023, to Andrect Engineering & Construction and was formally signed on September 22, 2023. “In June 2024, the contractor abandoned the worksite, prompting the Ministry to terminate the contract on November 18, 2024”, the ministry said.
