Conor McGregor’s name and spectacle have always gone hand in hand. From dominating UFC pay-per-view records to crossing over into boxing against Floyd Mayweather, the Irish superstar has built a career on moments that feel larger than life. Now, after more than four years away from the Octagon, he’s preparing for a comeback with some surprising plans!
The former two-division champion recently confirmed that he expects to face Michael Chandler at the UFC’s historic White House card in 2026. But, he didn’t stop there. In a recent post on social media, he hinted at something even grander: his final UFC fight staged inside a unique stadium!

Conor McGregor causes a frenzy on social media with venue for his UFC farewell
The reveal came via ‘The Notorious’s Instagram story, where he captioned the post, “I’ve found the location of my final UFC fight”, and alongside it, he shared an image of a stadium. Not just any stadium, but one imagined to hold one million people!
However, the photo wasn’t an actual venue; it was a piece of art. The work, Vitruvian Figure (2008) by Paul Pfeiffer, is a sculpture designed in collaboration with the architects behind Sydney’s Olympic Stadium. The miniature features one million tiny, hand-cast seats, stretching 8 meters in diameter.

According to Pfeiffer, the design explores spectacle, hysteria, and the scale of crowds in sport. Conor McGregor, however, saw something more. To him, it was the perfect metaphor for the end of his UFC journey. But as mentioned earlier, McGregor is already eyeing his comeback at the UFC White House card in 2026.
In a recent appearance on ‘Fox & Friends’, the Irish superstar confessed, “The Mac is excited to get back for sure. I’m on [the White House card], [I’m fighting] Michael Chandler. Michael Chandler and myself have done the show The Ultimate Fighter, we’ve had a good back and forth. He’s a good, tough guy.”
The fight with Chandler has been brewing for years. Both men coached opposite each other on TUF, and the UFC had even booked them for a showdown in June 2024. But a broken toe suffered by the Irishman in training dashed those plans. All of this brings us back to McGregor’s ‘one million seat stadium’.
Pfeiffer’s sculpture is not a real arena but an imagined monument to scale and spectacle. But Conor McGregor’s history suggests he’s dead serious about making the impossible feel within reach, as even Michael Chandler has now confirmed that the UFC White House clash between the two might become a reality!
McGregor receives Michael Chandler’s response for UFC White House main event
Michael Chandler isn’t shying away from the chaos that has surrounded his long-awaited showdown with Conor McGregor. Instead, he seems energized by it. With the UFC already teasing renderings for its historic White House event in 2026, Chandler stepped into the spotlight to echo McGregor’s push for their long-delayed matchup.
Appearing on Fox News, Chandler stated, “Obviously, we heard Conor earlier. That is the fight to make. Conor and I, we have some history. We did ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ 12 weeks on ESPN. I’m the opponent that he wants. He’s the opponent that I want, and it seems like it’s a heck of the main event for the UFC White House.”
As we noted earlier, this isn’t the first time the two men have been linked to a clash inside the Octagon. Yet, despite the delay and the unresolved nature of their rivalry, Chandler is still looking at the silver lining. According to him, the unfinished business only adds to the intrigue. With McGregor’s star power and his own all-action style, ‘Iron’ believes they can deliver a spectacle worthy of the White House backdrop.

As such, the UFC lightweight star continued, “You’ve got Conor McGregor and myself, two huge stars in the UFC. We’ve got history. There was a build-up to this fight and now you’re talking about 250 years of this great nation of ours, America’s birthday, the celebration near July 4, at the White House. Like we said, this will never ever be done before.”
