Conor McGregor Reveals 'Done Deal' For Epic UFC Comeback

Conor McGregor has revealed that his epic comeback is now “a done deal”, as he confirms his spot on the UFC’s prospective show on The White House lawns, which is tentatively scheduled for June 2026, as part of the USA’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
Little is known about the event outside of renderings that Dana White recently shared, together with his standpoint that all-time great two-weight champion Jon Jones is too unreliable to compete at such a significant show, and that the UFC boss seemingly prefers McGregor for the headline fight.
For McGregor, it’s already “signed [and] delivered.”

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox, McGregor said: “It ain’t a negotiation … McGregor will compete in The White House for America’s 250th birthday.”
“Me and Dana are in constant communication. We’ve done incredible business together. I’m the highest generating fighter of all time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. They’ve just signed a breathtaking deal with Paramount for $7.7 billion. We’re ready to rock, baby.”
“Bring in the big dog! The Mac G.”

Earlier in the day, McGregor even shared the insane lengths he’ll go to, to ensure that he’s fighting fit by the time the event rolls around.
The Irishman, of course, was supposed to return to the Octagon last summer against Michael Chandler, however, he withdrew with one month to go until the fight citing a broken pinky toe.
“I have eight months until The White House event, and it will be a six-month operation. I consider it a six-month operation to get ready for this bout. That’s my focus right now — I’m just eager to climb the steps to be ready for my return. There’s a lot at stake.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity. I was right there with my last one, in incredible condition [against Dustin Poirier in 2021], and well-prepared and a slight lapse in concentration led to an injury. I wish to correct that, and show what I’m about. I’m eager to get back. Let’s see what the future holds after that.”
